I am big adventure sports fan and whenever I get chance to sneak out of my busy life I opt for an adventure activity. I have been doing rafting for a while & keep visiting Rishikesh often. This time I stayed with Himalayan Moments in their river side camp. The overall experience was just amazing, the guide was very experienced & knowledgeable and made everybody very comfortable on the raft. We did the 27km stretch from Marine Drive and encountered over 13 rapids. including two 3+ grade rapids. Infact in one of the 3+ grade rapid one guy from another raft fell in the water and that raft couldn't reach him. Our guide was very intelligent & immediately threw the rope to him and we saved him before entering into another 3+ grade rapid. That was an amazing experience. Our guide also ensured that we enjoy to our fullest & allowed us to jump in the water where it's safe. The cliff jump was wonderful & post that the garma garam maggi was amazing. Do not forget to sit under the running hot water, it's again an unforgettable experience. Post this fantastic rafting experience, we went back to the camp and enjoyed the day at leisure. The camp was located amid natural beauty with greenery all around, there were huge rocks in the Ganga river, which gave us the perfect place to click some amazing pics. Waking up early (around 5am) and sitting on these rocks among the melodious sounds of birds chirping & river flowing is an amazing experience and shouldn't be missed for some extra sleep.
