Reach Dehradun By Air
Jolly Grant is the nearest and domestic airport in city Dehradun. The airport is around 25 kilo meters away from the town. To reach to the airport one can hire taxis and buses from ISBT Dehradun stoppage. Presently three flights are running between the capital city, which Dehradun and Delhi. These three airlines are Knigfisher (flykingfisher.com), Indian Airlines (indian-airlines.nic.in), and Jetairways (jetairways.com).
Reach Dehradun By Rail
The best and enjoying mode of transportation to reach Dehradun is traveling by train. 6 to 7 hours of comfortable trip from New Delhi will take the passengers to the capital town Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The Dehradun railway station is located jut one or two kilo meter from city centre. Several trains are there which runs between Dehradun and other towns like Delhi, Allahabad, Mumbai, Varanasi, Kolkata, Gorakhpur, Ujjain, Amritsar, Indore and Chennai.
Reach Dehradun By Road (By Bus)
To start a comfortable journey to the capital city of Dehradun in Uttarakhand, one can hire Volvo, Deluxe and ordinary class busses and taxis are ready to depart from ISBT Kashmir Gate, New Delhi. It takes around seven to eight hours to complete the journey during night but can take even more if it runs in the day, because of traffic interference. So it will be advisable to go to Dehradun in night to avoid uncertainties.
The buses runs from ISBT gate New Delhi and will let you get down at ISBT bus stand in Dehradun. The buses can also make the stoppage at Prince Chowk close to the railway station. The Prince Chowk is about 5 to 6 kilo meter away from ISBT Dehradun bus stand. From Prince chowk auto rickshaw and other cars are availed to ISBT Dehradun.
